Meet
Most people find one true calling in life, but I’m lucky to claim two! I get to pull double duty as a face painter, bringing laughter and smiles to both children and adults, and I also create stunning sculptures out of balloons. On my best days, I’m doing both!

I live in Western Sydney with my husband of 25 years, our two boys (16 and 10), and our two furry cavoodles. After years of trying to have children and enduring much heartbreak, my 7th and 11th pregnancies were successful. Not a day goes by that I don’t feel deeply blessed and grateful to be their mother.
​
I stumbled into the balloon world by accident, and I’m so thankful that I did. Over the past eight years, balloons have become my creative outlet. During the pandemic, I had to find a new source of income since my ability to earn money was drastically affected by isolation. Gone were the days of face painters and balloon artists in shopping centers. However, people were still celebrating birthdays, so I pivoted my business and started offering balloon bouquet deliveries. Since then, I haven’t looked back!

I’ve always wanted to expand into the world of balloon installations, but doing it alone felt too daunting. So, I asked my sister if she’d be interested in starting a new business with me to create beautiful works of art from balloons. It was a no-brainer—I couldn’t do this without her! And that’s how Fun Sister Balloons was born!

Emily
I’m a 40-year-old mom of three lively kids—my oldest is 12, and I have 9-year-old twins. I also have a furry companion, a Spoodle named Cookie!

I've been happily married for 16 years and counting. I was born in Adelaide, but I moved around a lot during my childhood. I finally found my roots in Western Sydney.
​
I’ve always had a passion for the arts and anything creative. Studying Graphics and Marketing has really helped me succeed in my businesses. My experience in the corporate world, especially working for a big company like Unilever, gave me valuable insights into sales, marketing, branding, and connecting with customers.
​
It was during my maternity leave with my first child that I discovered my love for baking and decorating cookies. That passion led to my first business, Short and Sweet Designs. What started as cookies for events quickly expanded to cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, and more!
​
After having my twins, I began working with my sister, Sarah, in her business, Create-a-Face, as a face painter. She trained me, and soon I was working weekends alongside her. We’ve done kids' parties, events in shopping centers, and community gatherings. Working with Sarah never feels like a job; it’s always fun, exciting, and full of laughter.
​
I eventually had to face my fears about balloon twisting, and Sarah helped me get the hang of it. It was at a balloon camp in Melbourne that I discovered my passion for creating large balloon displays. I realized I could combine my skills in graphics, design, and marketing to create something truly unique.

Let’s just say Sarah didn’t have to twist my arm too much—I was ready to jump into business with her!

In my free time, I love singing karaoke, listening to true crime podcasts, solving puzzles and sudoku, watching psychological horror movies, crocheting, and going on new adventures with my family.
